I’ve always been creative; drawing this, making that, painting anything. As a mum it feels imperative, though I'd always loved any excuse to paint since childhood. Life had its lessons and priorities, but it wasn’t until my 50s that I fully returned to it and made it part of my daily being. The moment I finally picked up a brush again, it felt like coming home.

I work primarily in oils, drawn to the richness, depth and texture they allow. My work often features animals and nature, where I believe moments full of character, emotion and colour truly shine. I’m especially inspired by the calm, accessible approach of Bob Ross, whose belief that 'anyone can paint' changed everything for me. I eventually trained and became a certified Bob Ross instructor, helping others discover what they can create with just a little guidance and encouragement.

Art has become not just a passion, but a way of reconnecting to myself, to others and to the joy of making something by hand.
